Afterwards, a person can click on the Search link and type in the name of the person whom he/she is looking for. Some of the things that are required in the friend finder tool are: name of friend, display name of friend, or email address of friend. There's a possibility that the person being searched for is either a member of the social networking site or not. If yes, then the searcher can either view his/her friend's profile or send an email message or private chat to the friend.
One can also look for a high school friend or crush. This can be done by keying in the school name, province, country or street name of the school. However, not all dating sites have such a feature. On the other hand, some websites only have limited places of interest for its members – Europe, America, and Asia.

On the other hand, a person can click on the Deny button if he/she wishes to reject the friend request.
